TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER was designed to create hydroxyapatite (HAp). Hydroxyapatite is created exactly where it is needed, closing dentinal tubules and enamel cracks. And because it is natural, it is also tissue-friendly, so it may be used with confidence. Various studies show that the application of TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER is effective. The product occludes the dentinal tubules, reducing the dentinal fluid movement and the consequent hypersensitivity. TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER was also found to be clinically effective in reducing pre- and postcementation sensitivity. For application of TEETHMATE™ DESENSITIZER, the powder, which is composed mainly of calcium phosphate, and the liquid, whose chief component is water, are mixed together. Then, the paste is rubbed into the affected area.
